Neon Boost Sorrows is a First Person Platformer game.

Developed by a team of four Game Designers, Neon Boost aims to create a chaotic and engaging experience for fans of old-school FPS's and Speedrunners alike.

As a game designer on Neon Boost:

 

  • I pitched gameplay features and ideas for the game. 

  • Designed them on documents and visual reference sheets. 

  • Prototyped them, and then worked on with the rest of the team.

 

As a game programmer on Neon Boost:

 

  • I designed the game systems and prototyped them. 

  • Scripted the Player Movement system and Game Manager.

  • Tested for potential bugs and polished the systems.

MOVEMENT SYSTEM / PLAYER MANAGER

  • Design and Scripting for the Player Movement system.

  • Full modular set of mechanics and configuration tools.

  • Scripting for the Game Manager, Scene Manager, UI System...

VFX / MATERIALS

  • Collaborated with the Art team to create custom Shaders and Effects.

  • ShaderGraph integration and scripting for dynamic materials and effects.

STEAM API INTEGRATION

  • Worked with the Steam SDK to create the basic configuration requirements for Steam.

  • Created Leaderboards for the levels.
